The metal fittings have a dragon motif with an antique brass finish.  The pocket clip is a dragon, the middle band is a dragon’s claw and the top and bottom sections of the pen have dragon scales.  The top of the pen has a tigereye mounted in it.  The pen is 5 3/4 inches long and weighs 2.75 ounces.

The purple sections are 2 pieces of opal that show long fire in red, blue, green, yellow, purple, all vibrant colors.

This specimen is entirely translucent Hyalite Opal except for a little bit of dirt on the bottom that I could not clean off. The Hyalite fluoresces a brilliant green under a short-wave UV light.

The fire sparkles brightly in many colors.  The photographs don’t do the opal justice as white opal doesn’t photograph well.  It really sparkles even more than the far right of the picture!  The fire also changes color in different light and when viewed from different angles.

The pen is pushed into the cap and clicks into place.
